Fourteen Medical Students had attended the 10th IGILUC

Fourteen Medical Students from faculty of Medicine, Modern University of Technology and Information (MTI) with their mentors and supervisors had attended the 10^th IGILUC [International Gastrointestinal, Liver and Uro- oncology conference] that was held on 15 and 16 July 2021, in JW Marriott Hotel Cairo, Egypt. Interestingly, MTI Medical Students presented two posters for their internationally published research article and review of literature. First article “Cyanidin 3-glucoside modulated cell cycle progression in liver precancerous lesion, in vivo study” was published in World Journal of gastroenterology (IF 5.8). Second one “Microbiome in GIT Cancers: New Frontiers in Personalized Medicine” – A Review of Literature was published in in Journal of surgical oncology.

This Meeting had highlighted the latest and most exciting discoveries in Gastrointestinal and liver cancer research, and it provided as a unique opportunity for investigators from all over the world to meet, network, and forge new scientific interactions. This great progress had been made in cancer research as discoveries in the lab are translated into treatments in an increasingly targeted and precise manner holding several sessions of new data on cutting-edge clinical trials along with commentaries on the science behind the trials and the implications of these trials for improved patient care.
