She is a Professor of Medical Microbiology and Immunology, faculty of medicine, Ain Shams university (ASU), since 2010 and is currently the department head at the Faculty of medicine- Modern university of technology and information (MTI) and the Director of the quality assurance unit too. She is an arbitrator in the promotion Committee of Professors and Assistant Professors of Medical Microbiology & Immunology, Supreme Council of Universities. Former Head of the medical microbiology & immunology department, Armed Forces College of Medicine, (AFCM), Cairo-Egypt. (From Academic year 2015-2016 to 2019-2020)

She has 28 years teaching experience, passed medical education courses from the University of Michigan. She is a member in Arabic association of medical education, a reviewer at The Science and Technology Development Fund (STDF), Higher Council for Science and Technology (HCST) and an Editorial board member @ CPQ Microbiology journal. She participated in the development of course specifications of medical microbiology and immunology, course reports, PBL and TBL case scenarios and she is a certified item author.

She participated in Upgrading of the strategic plane, Preparation of the faculty annual reports, Internal audit team member and self-evaluation team member at the faculty of medicine, ASU.

She participated in International research projects in collaboration with Pasteur institute (ANRS12135) &(ANRS12171). Co-authored international publications and has given frequent talks in several national and international conferences and organized many conferences, workshops and scientific days

She is an infection prevention and control consultant, APIC member #180759, who actively participated in accreditation of many hospitals according to the Egyptian accreditation standards and in the upgrading of the National guidelines of infection prevention and control, Ministry of health, 2019 (Under Publication). and cooperated with “We Owe It to Egypt Foundation” in upgrading hospital medical services from infection control perspectives and she is a member in the Society for improving the health of tuberculosis patients.

She is also an Associate trainer (IBCT-MENA-AT063/08), Egyptian fellow in health care management, and She had been recognized in the Egyptian Doctor’s Day as the “Ideal doctor” Egyptian Medical Syndicate, March 2006
